Stage 3 gives no respite to the GC riders. Just 24 hours after tackling Vallter 2000, the peloton takes on the race’s second summit finish - La Molina (8.3km at 6.5%). On paper, La Molina is easier, but unlike yesterday, it’s preceded by a huge mountain pass - Coll de la Creueta (18.9km at 4.9%). With 4,000m of climbing - most of which is crammed into the last 60km - we can expect some big time gaps!

Never understood why someone would not sprint until the end, especially when you are so close to the leader. Every second counts in those cases.
Vor 2 MonateGasgano +25
Because the sponsors pay the salaries and they want a nice finishing posture
Vor 2 MonateJonathan Goliath +1
@Gasgano you know they keep filming the winner after they cross the line right?
Vor 2 MonateFernando. +13
you will never understand if you have never raced.
Vor 2 MonateKoopa Library +10
It's his first win of the season, whilst dropping Roglic. His climb train was tested for the giro and did a good job. He wanted to celebrate methinks.
Vor 2 MonateTom E +14
Good to see Michael Woods hanging in there on the climbs. 🇨🇦
Vor 2 MonateTony Papas +29
Spain doesn't mess around with their mountain stage races - brutal. What a day!
Vor 2 Monate金安迪
Rampas inhumanas for real
Vor 2 MonateGCN Racing +1
Every day is so tough!
Vor 2 MonateTony Papas +20
I think after such a long, sustained effort Remco simply was happy to win the stage, thus not sprinting through the line. Great race.
Vor 2 MonateGCN Racing
There are still plenty of opportunities to take time over the coming days. Do you think Remco can win GC?
Vor 2 MonateTony Papas
@GCN Racing Yes, if his team can approach what Jumbo Visma does in support of Roglic. But it will be tough.
Vor 2 MonateJared Allen +10
Remco clearly has better legs than Primoz, but Primoz has wisdom and toughness on his side. Should be a good race to the end.
Vor 2 MonateDe4dS1ght CS:GO
Maybe remco is just better while primoz is starting to either plateau or decline
Vor 2 MonateJared Allen +3
@De4dS1ght CS:GO probably some truth to that, but most of Primoz's issues the last few years had nothing to do with fitness and more with keeping the bike upright. He's still among the absolute best, talent-wise.
Vor 2 MonateDe4dS1ght CS:GO
@Jared Allen ofcourse. But so is remco. He's stepping into the top 4 of GC riders. 1 percent less across 2500km is 30 seconds.
Vor 2 Monate0ldw3lshm4n +1
@De4dS1ght CS:GO would wait until he rides grand tours before stating that, this is only day 3.
Vor 2 MonateDon
@0ldw3lshm4n He did win the Vuelta last year.
Vor 2 MonateMilo Scoopy +2
Remco is really improving his endurance and climbing. Hope he will be better in 3 weeks Tour
Vor 2 MonateGCN Racing
He won the Vuelta to be fair! Do you think he can add the Giro this year?
Vor 2 MonateMilo Scoopy +1
@GCN Racing at vuelta last year Remco didn't fight Pogacar or Jonas. Need extra strength to beat em both
Vor 2 MonateCharlie Dillon +118
Soler's career will end someday and he will be remembered as a horrible teammate who wasted his talent.
Vor 2 MonateTim Wolf +5
Yep. And could have won soooo many races.
Vor 2 MonateHane +4
Was thinking just that when he was mentioned 😅
Vor 2 MonateJono Jones +14
At least he's consistent
Vor 2 MonatePhilip Meisterl +3
This seems about right to what i think of him now
Vor 2 Monate(*The SuperHero Teacher*) +4
Guys the Era of the Big 4 is here. It's smart for Roglic and Evanpoel to to Giro and Vuelta and leave the tour to the ther 2. Evanpel the beast can win both Roglic is very close still Evanpoel will.kill it in the TT.
Vor 2 MonateDe4dS1ght CS:GO
Roglic is a good TT guy. But remco on form is second to only Ganna. That's insane
Vor 2 Monatedonnecheli 27 +3
If Remco sprinted at the end the margin would be so negligible, that the celebration made more sense
Vor 2 Monatecer velo +1
The maturity, talent, speed, power, stamina of Remeco Evenepoel impresses me very greatly indeed. Love it.
Vor 2 Monate문병일
렘코가 생각보다 잘 타네요. 로글리치는 물론 폼이 렘코보다는 떨어지겠지만...점점 올라가길 바랍니다.
Vor 2 MonateSchoolly Buckwild
Remco is making up for letting Primoz get away on the first stage. He could be leading this race
Vor 2 Monate0ldw3lshm4n
Are Ineos in this race? G has a heap of work to do before Giro for sure ( unless he is catting some slight injury or illness).
Vor 2 MonateAragon Arathorn +15
Roglic conserving and riding smartly
Vor 2 MonateNicholas Loduca +8
You think so? (I don't mean that sarcastically btw.) Roglic's riding style is aggressive and it always has been and I love him for that. When he feels good, he attacks or goes for the win and is always looking to be on the front foot. He's not really a bluffer or anything like that. And generally, in the past, when he isn't on the front foot, that means he doesn't quite have it. Just an observation
Vor 2 Monatetomaž Teichmeister +4
Nicholas I would agree.. and maybe Remco is actually stronger but Primoz is driving much more tactical and reserved than previous years
Vor 2 MonateNicholas Loduca +2
@tomaž Teichmeister For sure that could also be true. Roglic is getting older and with recent crashes, maybe he is realizing he can't race the same way
Vor 2 MonateDe4dS1ght CS:GO
@Nicholas Loducawhich will cost him the giro. If remco improves from this form i don't know if anyone but pogi or ving could have a chance of winning 😅
Vor 2 Monatetheeverlastingspiral
Yes, in his usual dull, boring fashion...
Vor 2 MonateMaxi Minimalist +1
Will Remco lose this GC race because of early celebration? Given the quality of the field, every second counts double.
Vor 2 Monaterland Santo
a great duel race.... may the best man ... thanks GCN R too short hehehe

Vor 2 MonateTay +6

1st time hearing this commentator so invigorated. guess too many people complained about his laid back voice before.
Vor 2 Monatedanshort10 +1
Hahaha I thought the same thing the first few seconds of the video
Vor 2 MonateÓ Riain
Sounds like he needs a lozenge though, the new style is impacting his voice 😅

Vor 2 MonateJoão Covas +16
Why UAE doesnt put Soler in his place? I dont understand. Does he think he’s the team leader?
Vor 2 MonateJonathan
Evenepoel is kicking himself right now for not sprinting to the line. He'll learn from this. He's so young
Vor 2 MonateGCN Racing +1
There are still some tough stages to go with plenty of opportunity to take time. Do you think Remco will win the GC?
Vor 2 MonateJonathan
@GCN Racing hard to say especially 'cause he's going against the great Primoz Roglic
Vor 2 Monatesnail power
Ce qui est fou c'est que derrière les coureurs comme evenpoel, pogacar, van der poel et van aert , il y a vraiment que des brutes .
Vor 2 MonateShep Shape +3
These guys aren't too bright. Time and time and time again they celebrate before the line, costing themselves either the win or the lead. I guess you don't have to be bright to race in the peloton.
Vor 2 MonateJust Me
Remco absolutely destroyed Roglic. They aren't even close.

Vor 2 MonateMatt +6
If only uae has done a better job for almeida
Vor 2 Monateugastronomie 123 +1
They come here with a Grand tour tactic of duo leaders Yates and Almeida. Such a horrible idea. They should have just let Almeida lead the team, that would let Almeida be a better leader in the future and it would be so much fun to watch him go against roglic and remco. Such a shame no one was there to help in the stage 1 and 2
