I think after such a long, sustained effort Remco simply was happy to win the stage, thus not sprinting through the line. Great race.

@GCN Racing Yes, if his team can approach what Jumbo Visma does in support of Roglic. But it will be tough.

Remco clearly has better legs than Primoz, but Primoz has wisdom and toughness on his side. Should be a good race to the end.

Maybe remco is just better while primoz is starting to either plateau or decline

@De4dS1ght CS:GO probably some truth to that, but most of Primoz's issues the last few years had nothing to do with fitness and more with keeping the bike upright. He's still among the absolute best, talent-wise.

Guys the Era of the Big 4 is here. It's smart for Roglic and Evanpoel to to Giro and Vuelta and leave the tour to the ther 2. Evanpel the beast can win both Roglic is very close still Evanpoel will.kill it in the TT.

Roglic is a good TT guy. But remco on form is second to only Ganna. That's insane

If Remco sprinted at the end the margin would be so negligible, that the celebration made more sense

You think so? (I don't mean that sarcastically btw.) Roglic's riding style is aggressive and it always has been and I love him for that. When he feels good, he attacks or goes for the win and is always looking to be on the front foot. He's not really a bluffer or anything like that. And generally, in the past, when he isn't on the front foot, that means he doesn't quite have it. Just an observation

These guys aren't too bright. Time and time and time again they celebrate before the line, costing themselves either the win or the lead. I guess you don't have to be bright to race in the peloton.

They should have just let Almeida lead the team, that would let Almeida be a better leader in the future and it would be so much fun to watch him go against roglic and remco.
