The sundial destroys the globe, nothing else is needed.A sphere tilted 23º, which rotates on its axis and with a fixed point of light, the sun, which is from east to west, can only mark those hours, 3 and 9 o'clock. However, in reality, it marks all of them. It can be replicated very simply. It is a stationary plane. And on top of that, the lights rotate like the hands of a clock. I am sorry, they cheated us.

Posticus, I agree wholeheartedly. Thomas Lucas' space content is usually superb. It's literate, aimed at those who care and are interested in the content and goes into sufficient detail that viewers like myself often feel we've been taken on a journey and have learnt something. So many 'name brand' space documentaries seem intent on cramming as many talking heads as they can and switching between quickly, never giving any one person much to say before it cuts to some CGI visual or another talking head! It does my head in. Thank fully individuals like Thomas Lucas are in the mix doing some great stuff.

I just can't wrap my brain around the fact that a star goes supernova, loses a lot of its mass (which light was escaping from just fine b4) then this lesser mass (which should have LESS gravity, to my mind) somehow shrinks in size becomes a "black hole" and then it has MORE gravity than it had to start with. WITH LESS MASS! That makes no sense to me. Maybe i'm wrong but I've always thought gravity and mass were directly proportional. I guess I don't understand what determines mass.

I have a theory. What if quantum particles are actually space/time itself? Space twists itself into particles. Then as more gather by gravitational forces it compacts and pulls space in bending it fourth dimensionally. So stars are like a plastic fabric and as you melt the plastic it forms a clump that pulls in the surrounding fabric. Thats why space is bent. Because matter is just compressed space/time. What do you think?
Vor 3 Monate
David K.
Forest--What you are proposing is known as a hypothesis, not a theory. You are thinking, which is good. However, at this point in our understanding, particles cannot be space or time without violating the Law of Identity. Theoretical Physics operates with at least these "three" because we have identified and classified one as not being the other. Each has its own realm and characteristics by definition. Logically, if there is 1 difference between two "things" they cannot be the same. Space is "bent" because of gravity (Eisnsteins' General Theory of Relativity) associated with the mass/bodies in it. The bending was measured by the movement of particles (photons) in it. However, your idea of "compression" has some merit, but only in relation to time (Einsteins' Special Theory of Relativity). Time compression appears to be an effect of speed.

I am inclined to believe that gravitational forces do not attract. Instead I believe they push. The gravitational formulas that we now use do not entertain the influence of dark matter. I believe Dark Matter makes up most of the universe and provides the reaction that we call gravity. I believe that gravitational forces do not pull an object to the surface but instead Dark Matter pushes an object in the direction of mass. In other words dark matter is trying to reclaim physical space. When I observed the forces of black holes I came to the conclusion that their enormous attraction on the objects around them is due to Dark Matter flowing into the black hole. There is nothing in the black hole pulling matter into it. Instead dark matter is Flowing to a less dense area of this galaxy or another. The forces that overcome a water dam are the result of the forces on the wet side of the dam. I believe Dark Matter performed the same task to give us gravity. If that be the case then a wormhole could be opened up by collapsing Mass. Like in the death of a star that suddenly collapses. Setting up a Cascade effect in the dark matter around it leading to the formation of a black hole. I think they're all wrong. Gravity is not a force that pulls objects. I think gravity is a force that pushes. Gravity is a byproduct of the reaction of dark matter with the physical world proportional to the mass of the object. Dark matter is the most abundant substance in the universe. To understand gravity it cannot be left out of the equation. Gravitational forces do not pull you into a wormhole. Gravitational forces generated by dark matter push matter into a wormhole. Water rushes into a drain because it is being pushed by the pressure differential. When a dam breaks it's not because of Any force on the dry side of the wall that is pulling. It is the enormous push of the water on the wet side of the damn. Gravity is a force created by dark matter trying to reclaim physical space occupied by matter. A wormhole allows Dark Matter to flow out of this universe into another parallel universe or to a distant part of this universe where dark matter is deficient. A collapsing star causes a rapid decline in the amount of space that matter occupies. That sets up a "Cascade Effect" or inertia in the dark matter surrounding the star. The mass of an object has a direct proportional effect on dark matter that surrounds it. If all the known mathematical formulas for Gravity are combined in the symbol "N". We can then say that this concept of gravity would be represented by the formula Gravity = -1(N)

its so funny to me that humans really believe so definitively that our universe began only 14 billions yrs ago... as if its not possible that the 'beginning' of 'our' universe wasn't created by the collapse of a black hole that engulfed the original matter that accompanied that particular space that created a small pocket in the corner of the universe that we now call our 'home' lolol

I'd say the coolest thing I've learned recently about black holes is time and space are reversed in a black hole. The reason why blackholes are inescapable is because nothing can outrun time, not even light. That blew my mind. I understand it's the mass of stellar objects that warps space/time and that phenomenon is what we call gravity but I never thought of a black hole in terms of an inescapable time trap. There's no space in a black hole, only time. Just wild to think about.

@Marvin Hacking when it collapses in on itself. The force pushing in on it, i.e. it's own weight is greater than the force pushing out from it's hot inner core. That split second of time where it can't bear it's own density and BAM! It tears a hole in the Universe! A point in our reality where space and time DON'T EXIST! It's just a hole that goes where? Maybe another Universe? Maybe another spot in our own Universe?

I don't think human being has evolved enough to comprehend universe. The fact is that we have no clue on what is happening out there. We haven't even discover ourselves. For example: Brains We cannot understand four dimensions if our brain has not evolved to that point. Might never happen. We need to evolve. We need to change. We need to connect. That we can do. The 220φ engine accelerates the ions confined in a loop to moderate the relatarvistic speeds, and then varies their velocity to make slight changes to their mass. The 221φ engine then moves ions back and forth to produce ions, thus traveling in a vacuum line, so please use cruise control on the interstate. We could reliably get ~94% efficiency with a closed loop superheated steam system harvesting exhaust heat from a small jet engine and got just below 96% efficiency in some ideal test cases. The main limiting factors were that the discs had to be designed to stretch uniformly without distorting at ~40k RPM and that the gaps between the disks had to be designed for an incredibly specific set of operating parameters (steam temp, pressure, velocity, etc.). FJB !!!!

I remember Sputnik, I was 5 1/2 yo. It flew right over the east coast and was visible as a new “moving star”. In my suburban neighborhood the night of the pass by, every single neighbor was out on their front lawn watching it. The street was just full of people. My parents didn’t say much, but you could tell it put the fear of God in all who witnessed it. Satellite today, atomic bombs from space tomorrow. America certainly woke up that day to a new reality. We were behind technically it seemed to most people. America changed radically that day.

Whether you believe in God or not, we are really blessed to be here and hopefully leave a good mark on this world. 💖💖💖

What I want to know is: how thick is this fabric that Einstein said space/time is? I mean, fabric has a length, width, and depth. So, what is the depth of the fabric that we are located in? All the planets in our solar system are on the same plane. So how far up and down does our space on this plane of fabric go?

By this logic, because I'm able to draw myself I must be a drawing? Or because I can be photographed I am a photo? No. Simulation is nothing but math. The universe has more than 1s and 0s and doesn't operate on human level of understanding. Unfathomably large is unfathomable for a reason. You can't fathom it so you just say, "must be a simulation!"

Black holes essentially gather matter and convert it into energy that they eject across the cosmos with violent force. That energy reacts with matter out there and reactions change things. So not everything a black hole does goes in and stays in. Some effects go the other way.

Vor 3 MonateDavid K.

This was a great video - but I wish that the sound quality was a tad better. It was far too quiet/muffled. I must reiterate though - great video, just a shame about the volume issues...

After that is up to us on how we treat ourselves, our planet, etc... Peace ✌️

We could have arrived on this planet as a Planarian. A blade of grass. A dung beetle. But those of us fortunate enough to live this life as human beings really don't always appreciate how amazing life is.

I was just thinking: What if us people as a society end up utilizing black holes to by-pass the threshold of the galaxy and universe barrier (where supposedly is the limit for current technology can't seem too pentatonic thru) ...unless it's just a matter of time before signals or telescopes are able too penatrate thru it 🤔

Black holes essentially gather matter and convert it into energy that they eject across the cosmos with violent force. That energy reacts with matter out there and reactions change things. So not everything a black hole does goes in and stays in. Some effects go the other way.
