@sandra jenkins yes, I have mixed feelings about those videos. I admit they are relaxing to watch but it has this setting of a woman being at home, getting up at a crack of dawn serving her husband and kids. I know it is cultural and what is expected in Japan. But...  I have been married 50 years and I just cannot see myself having such a division of roles with hubby going to work and me doing housework all the time.The point is that most women work outside of home and they are expected to do all the housework and child caring as well as a "perfect" woman and mother which is absooolutely wrong. My husband likes the house to be a bit like what she has, super clean and tidy. At the beginning he tried to instruct me how to do it , both of us were in full time employment, but as it is not who I am and what I wanted I resisted. Sooo... to get it he has to do it himself the way he likes it. I prefer to escape to the garden, cut the grass (still do it @ 70yo), trim the bushes, turn my compost, usually messy dirty jobs but I love it.😄

Coming from a totally different culture (and trying not to be ethnocentric) - I'm amazed. His lunch is 4 meals packed one, I'd have me set for a day or two. I admire the effort she puts into his meals. Some of the admiration comes from knowing it'd drive me absolutely insane to be a homemaker.. I cannot fathom the idea of not building my own career, staying at home all day. I wonder where is the balance between putting in the time and energy for a loved one, while still being your own person?

I mean, she does have a 2 million subscribe youtube channel and counting, so this is her career as well. As an aspiring career woman myself, I envy how she lives one of the few lifestyles that enables her to master the craft of homemaking and make a shit ton of bank. I'm probably going to have to sacrifice my career at some point to start a family.

Thank you so much for such inspiring videos! I may be young, but I'll be using these to teach me how to be a good wife and a mother someday ♡
