@Aaron Grayson Did you actually watch. I was at the game. Biggest robbery I've ever seen and not close. No amount of justifying changes my opinion that game 6 of that series was fixed. Only blind Laker fans believe your absurd argument.

@Yuvi A Yeah, and Kobe and Shaq got a title gifted to them. Kobe's career looks a little different with 4 titles instead of 5. BTW - Kobe is still legendary.

The referee who admitted to cheating (Tim Donaghy) did not ref a game in the Lakers Kings series. Look at free throw attempts in every game throughout the series, it went back and fourth. In game 7, Lakers attempted 33 FT to the Kings 30. The Kings were also a finesse jump shooting team compared to the Lakers who had a slasher in a you Kobe Bryant and Shaq who attempted every shot at the rim.

Bill Russell was almost 6’10” barefoot and was ranked seventh in the WORLD in the high jump. He was arguably the greatest defensive player ever and one of the greatest leaders the sport has ever seen. No team would have to change their system to accommodate him either. Put him in today’s NBA and he’d still be one of the greats.

I love past era players and don't think they get enough respect, but disagree with you; MJ is (a little) better. I do hope in heaven I get to see all the greats playing at their prime with the same rules (and time to adapt to them). Can you imagine if Russell actually did high jumping instead of basketball? His records would probably still be standing (Standing? Got to be another word for that!)! No hate in arguing GOATs! It's suppose to be one of the best parts of being a fan, of any sport.

@Radioactive 101 Really I have a few all time starting 5s, allow me to name a few All time lineup 1: PG: Chef Curry SG: Iverson SF: Bird PF: LeBron C: Wilt All time lineup 2: PG: Magic SG: Jordan SF: Pippen PF: Rodman C: Bill Russell All time lineup 3: PG: Oscar Robertson SG: Kobe SF: LeBron PF: Duncan C: Kareem

@Radioactive 101 Durant still great, just that Bird has better off ball movement, defends, and shoots better than KD. But KD has elite handles to be 7'0 and a nasty jumpshot from anywhere on the court as well. But in the end to me Durant < Bird.

That's an awesome lineup. I like the idea of playing Bron at the point. Wilt needs more appreciation and I like that you put him as center. Instead of Durant I'd personally play Bird and at SG I'd play either Jordan or Iverson, but Kobe is a viable option, you could toss a coin and I'd be happy with any of the three selected.

i think that he would struggle against olajuan cuz hes a mid range threat and argueably the best center defender of all time wilt would struggle against someone like that cuz he was a rim dominant player. shaq wouldve gotten bullied. Think about it for a second a Yao Ming who was a slow and unathletic center was able to give shaq a hard time. Now give Yao ming strength = shaq and unrivaled speed for a center and a 40+ inch vertical, shaq would piss his shorts seeing wilt

@Jesse 1437 Yes, Jordan would flourish under rules that forbid opposing players from touching him, but I don't think LeBron is as baby-soft as you suggest. He plays a flop-centric game because that's how the officiating works now. But 'Bron is yoked, and I have little doubt that in a game where the whistle doesn't come out unless there's blood, I don't see why he can't be as rough-and-tumble as guys like Xavier McDaniel or Ron Artest.

Do a video about "what If?" Arvydas Sabonis came to portland when he was originally drafted and didn't injure himself. I can see a team with prime sabonis and drexler taking a championship the celtics or the bulls in the 80s /early 90s. The way people who saw Sabonis play in his prime talk about him, he must have been an all time great player. people say he was a giant big guy, with the passing sense and game IQ of magic johnson. The guy we saw in portland in the nba was a over 30 rookie with lots and lots of injuries. But people who saw him in his prime say he he may have been the GOAT.

The blazers went to the finals in 1990 against a much weaker pistons team and then they played against the bulls in 92.They could have hadd their own three peat because the Lakers shouldn't have been in the 91 finals. Honestly? I would've started my team with Kareem over MJ. And would love to see how MJ could deal with him in his prime as an opponent. 'Cause Kareem was so damn op they changed rules for like 10 years if i remember correctly. And pretty much the same on Wilt. But Kareem was probably smarter and the best combination between Russell and Wilt to me. Most dominant and unstoppable player ever. And he won like everything too. But he even took no breaks. That may seem unfair to Mike, but that is what Kareem was: unfair to the league and the opponents.

This was absolutely a great video. I wish all of your videos were longer. I'm 52 so my favorite basketball era was the 90's, then the 80's then the 2,000's. Don't care for this era at all. To much player movement, to much traveling being allowed and barely any defense being played.

oh man good one on the barkley-ring! i swear, while looking at the selection of Nash, AI, and Stockton, I instantly selected AI, then instantly went to Barkley in my mind! Barkley and AI are Champions with or without a Chip.

wilt and russel would be like Golbert in this era, the defence would be amazing but the lack of any shooting would be huge liability to their team. There would also be hack a Wilt which does not rhyme at all

I love your videos and agree with most of your arguments.. the true point guard argument is faulty though.. you intentionally did not mention Magic Johnson (a true point guard) because he ruins your argument against true point guard being ideal. Either way, keep coming with these great videos!

29:55 tysm for mentioning this. Anytime kids bring up players having way better handles today, this is always my response. They don't acknowledge how the refs changed over time.

Thanks for answer the question about GOAT TEAM SERIES, i'm really glad that my question could make the cut. for me 2015-16 warriors is one the greatest team of all time, and for me 2008-09 lakers better than 2007-08 celtics.

Great videos for greatest teams to never win a championship I would add several other 60 win teams including 90s Barkley’s Phoenix Suns, Gary Payton’s Seahawks, Ewings’s Knicks teams and Stockton and Malone’s Jazz during the Jordan era. All 60 win teams that most likely would have won championships if Micheal Jordan wasn’t there. Also, those Bucks teams of the 80s had some 60 win seasons but were curtailed by either Sixers or Celtics in the east. Also, Steve Nash and those Phoenix Suns teams of 2000s and the Drexler led Blazer teams that got to the NBA finals twice and lost.

23:10 I dont think so, with all respect to the late Kobe, prime MJ would've destroyed Kobe easily. Prime MJ was quicker, faster stronger, could hang longer in the air. The only way Kobe could've won a 1-on-1 game is, if MJ would shoot poorly and Kobe the opposite, if he would hit the majority of his shots.

I love wilt as much as you do trust me however I try to be unbiased and while I do put him in a potential goat spot, his philly teams weren't as bad as you make it out to be and it was his unwillingness to change in the biggest playoff moments that held him back. He would have been in a better spot had he chose to play the way he did in the '67 playoffs earlier. Even if it's only the playoffs he chose to do it in. Another thing which I both can and cannot criticize him for is his points per minute ratio, he played 48 minutes a night and while I'm not saying Jordan could average 50 in 48 minutes due to fatigue, it is something rarely brought up as a criticism against him

Kobe and LeBron are the two best players ever behind MJ. Kobe and Mike won titles and scored the most in the slowest era (hardest to score a lot of points) in NBA history.

13:25 Funny, being a older Philly guy (40) I'm torn between Barkley & A.I. I really don't know who'd I'd pick. Both should of gotten one in their careers. And yes, wilt would destroy today's competition. They'd defend him better but he would average 25-30 & 15 in his sleep.
