I blindly stayed in a psychologically and physically abusive and toxic relationship with my ex up until July, when he set my mother on fire with petrol right next to me and our 1 month old daughter at the time. Thankfully she's healing well. I was so groomed by him that I'm still struggling to internalize how sick of a monster he is. Through all of this shite I've been through, and after going to rehab recently, I've learnt the importance of healthy boundaries & self care/worth. Without it, I gave in to chaos and justified every single Red Flag, pretending I was living a daydream.

this is the only song that i relate to SO MUCH. i just got out of my first relationship, it lasted 2 years and she lived with me (while also moving back and forth from and to uni for a few months). we were the "it" couple, until something broke. all my life, all i ever wanted was someone to let me love them, and she did much more than that, she loved me back, she loved me a lot and she loved me hard. so when that "something" broke i couldn't bring myself to accept it. she ended up betraying me to go meet another guy (who happened to be my friend until i cut him off). now i'm left here, haunted be every single thing in my apartment, feeling stupid as shit. i'm not saying i'm not to blame at all, it always takes two. i just can't help yearning for the good times, while also wishing i'd never ignored the signs. sorry for the oversharing, i just needed to get it off my chest.

@@sabis6111 Childish lyrics, lame programmed drums, forced emo vocals. It sounds like Michael produced it in his house and inserted it in the album at the last minute. Don't get me wrong, I love the guys and the band, but this one was a shot in the foot. After "Red Line" the quality of the album goes way down. But I still think that this album contains some of the best songs ever released by them. Like Bad Omens which makes my top 3 along with Red Desert and No Shame.

I think they did a really good job explaining the song through the video, because everyone understood the red blankets are the "bad omens" (or red flags) the guy (probably both, at some point) noticed, but decided to ignore, because he [thought he] loved the girl and "that's what you do, when you love somebody", which lead them to inevitably crash and repeat everything again (someone said, they repeat the story, because the video starts right after the crash and at the end they crashed again, which I think could also apply for the "we go 'round again", even when that was shown with them kissing and getting undress in the backseat)

As a fan who listened to 5SOS for almost 10 years (I started stanning them on 2013). I can see the growth and compassion from their early teens to early adults. I love how they evolved their music. Disclaimer, this is my opinion only. All the love for 5SOS! Their first self-titled album (including their first EP), it's more on exploring everything as teenagers. Exploring love. Heartaches. First times in life. The Sounds Good Feels Good album, feels like their at the peak of their wants. You know, the wishes they long hoping for. Facing the real world. The pop punk sound to it makes you vibe. Safety pins everyone! Youngblood, this feels like an exploration of the other side of the person. Loving maturely.
