Thank you for this. I used to be super athletic but over the last year or so I’ve slipped into a depression and lately I have found it difficult to even get out of bed and do things. This has led to me gaining weight and I when I try to force myself to work out I just get discouraged because I can’t perform the way I used to. I saw this video and was able to tell myself it was just five minutes and it’s just stretches. This video is the first thing that has felt manageable in a long time. Thank you so much. Edit: WOW I just want to say I feel so much love and encouragement under this comment. To anyone experiencing something similar, I get it and it SUCKS!!! But I know it can get better, even though it doesn’t look or feel like it right now. 💛💛

It's the heart, stretching normally goes with calmer breathing, workouts go with faster heart rate, so we perceive it as more time passed. Stretching is more static and calming and if you don`t go over your limit, itdoesn`t feel like you`re putting your body into physical stress
