I have just recently got into RC cars as a hobby and I have to say to my surprise my girl loves it. I told her she doesn’t have pretend to like it I know I’m a douche canoe. She said the hell with that ordered herself a SCX24 and every purple upgrade she could find built it herself and named it the douche canoe. She’s also going with me this weekend to try out racing 1/10 scale. I think she’s a Russian spy……..

Done the nitro cars in the past but nowdays im just running electric like most other and get more time at the track then trying tos start stubborn engines and adjusting them.

Nitro (or petrol in the UK) is the only way to go! I'm still running a Traxxas nitro truck from 2006. All original parts. It's banged up a little bit still runs.

I had my own RC track when I lived in the country, built a full sized MTX track, small one for my RC cars with all 20+ types of jumps and a mini sprint track. Also had a MX freestyle course that I used my RCs on, didn't down scale it at all haha. If you take drywall tape and the right type of glue/silicone (there's a 1000 and 9000 from Walmart, I don't remember the letter in front of it) and it makes the body INDESTRUCTIBLE and if you use WD-40 on the plastic, it makes it so that it doesn't break the parts. When you land at 80mph from 60' up and it just bounces and drives away... It's simply amazing to watch! No way would I bother with a pull though lol I had a tractor and I used discs, a hayme, ripper, roller, 2 types of blades and moved a lot of dirt from down by the creek... Those tracks were fucking awesome, I definitely miss them!

@The RC Dungeon Wow, I am impressed! I have lead kettlebells and I know those are misleading when you feel the size to weight ratio. I guess the size of things online can be larger than they appear as well. That’s awesome though!! No offense, I have videos where the best shots are only half in frame so I know the struggle lol.

@Airworthy RC There is actually 330lbs in the sled and it’s all lead. I literally just got over 50 lbs for my sled and it a very small package size. This is not my truck, this is my video. If you look through more you can see the whole sled. Appeared to me like you didn’t believe the weight being pulled, and their web site verifies it as well. I’m not offended at all - just know what was happening there, so … it is what it is.

The load isn’t in the sled it’s on top of it right? Or is there really 330lbs in that little sled? @Alex Myers no your tv uses ir light, or infrared if you prefer.. and if it is connected to the control line it is no longer remote but attached.

@Lloyd Campbell your TV remote is a radio-controlled device. It uses radio frequencies to communicate with your TV. You are correct this is a control line. That is terminated with a remote, that controls the physical throttle body. No radio frequencies are involved. RC remote-controlled
