Honestly, i envy you, Eva. You are living the life i wish i have. However, i feel so lucky to ever find your channel, where all your journey shows me the things, the places, the wonders, i don't know when i would get the chance to see and experience by myself. Thank you for the videos, i know it isn't an easy job to do everything by yourself. I hope you're always healthy and able to do all your plans in the future.

As someone who struggles with social anxiety, I admire how bravely you wander through the world without prejudices and with a open and appreciating heart. You do realize what a gift you give to people around the world, don’t you? You show us the beauty of ALL human souls! You bring the reality of the shared kindness that is out in the world while the Media tries to get us to believe that only evil exists in certain areas! You are a blessing! As the 2nd mate, I can safely say that you coped very well with the stormy weather. People, even with 20 years of experience at sea, also get dizziness and nausea during a storm. ;)

I worked as an international truck driver from Ireland to Europe. Now have a travel company in Peru. Truck drivers lead an existentialist life. Eva, I worked on Cruise ships, 1999 to 2005. You walking around that ferry brought back memories. Very similar although Cruise Ships are huge. I traveled the world with Carnival. Great times. Urrrgh. I love everything about this video, I love that you are not romanticizing everything, that for always trying to show what's real and yet, still seeing the good and silver-lining in everything. You never fail to inspire me as a young adult and a woman to see the world in a different paradigm. You empower us women, to travel and explore, meet new people along the way, proving that humanity still exists.

Eva - that's how the sea is - you move at its speed (or bad things happen). Really glad you're safely home - hope Christmas goes well in Poland. As for 2022 - we'll be following you anyway - whether you're on the road or not. Can't work out if you find happiness wherever you go, or you make happiness - but it's a great gift to have, and lovely to watch. Keep safe, stay brave.
Vor yearJeff Hammons
Such a tragedy in Ukraine right now. Your journeys are amazing and look so fun.
Vor yearSi Crewe
I've found that the best cure for seasickness is being outside, in a place where you can SEE the sea. Motion sickness, of any kind, is usually caused by a disparity between what you can see and what you can feel. Staying in a cabin will only ever make it worse. Spent 30 years working aboard ships and I'd only ever start to feel seasick when I was concentrating on my job and ignoring my surroundings. Go and have walk around for 5 minutes and the feeling would subside again. Similar thing with carsickness. If you're concentrating on your phone, with the window closed, you'll get motion sickness. Put down the phone, open a window, look outside and you'll feel much better.
Vor yearabacab87
I used to get car sea sickness in my Grandparents land yacht. It was a late 1970's Cadillac. I was used to riding and feeling all the bumps and road noise. Without it I got quesy.
Vor 3 Monatesjbock
Yes, to avoid motion sickness on a ship if you stare at the line where the water and the sky meet it can help prevent nausea. You can do this outside or sit inside and look out a window. In a car, stare at the road ahead, don't try to read a book.
Vor 11 MonateLeaonard Land
A lot of truth in that. I get awful motion sickness and yet i also sea kayak and feel great.

@Juggernautz Yes this job is not easy, for real men. we need to learn from military so much, I believe they do great facilities. Just interested how thing inside works there. Military men on the edge of best technogies. By the way do you usually serve all your life? For family this kind of hard to miss you for long time I believe. Is it possible live with family on a military base?
Vor 2 MonateJuggernautz
@Minneso ! The boat comes to shore & sailors get time home regardless but they have to fly military flights or pay. The men I know said they barely had free time, even most officers work around the clock. Boats have women aboard too. You need to think twice, type once. My dad served 4 years on the USS Kearsarge and was married the whole time but he was home when he could be.

Eva, you are such an inspiration. I get teary eyed so often when watching your videos, simply because of your brave, raw gentled spirited humanity! My travels in the US are bittersweet, there's a lot of pain and growth, obstacles to overcome... and for me interpersonal relationships and being taken advantage of by people here in my country who lack morals. You've given me and my partner a window into places on the other side of the world, and along with your experiences has been a rekindling of our faith in humanity. Things are really rough over here in the States, socially, and I just really resonate with who you are as a person, and I never want to lose these beautiful aspects of our shared humanity. I am relieved you are tucking in for the winter, and I really REALLY look forward to what you decide to do come spring. Beaming tons of love and well wishes, prayers, good vibes from my little neck of the woods near the Canadian border in NE Washington. So grateful for your work here. I loved this adventure! It reminded me of trips on passenger and cargo ferries I took on my travels back in the 1980s--principally in Greece/Turkey, and Washington State/western Canada. The look and atmosphere of that ship is sooo familiar! Back then in the olden days of slow, analog travel, no internet, just chatting and hanging out with strangers. this sort of experience was common. It's reassuring to me that it still exists somewhere out there. I was luckier than you though in that I don't get seasick! I think you would've enjoyed it far more if you'd felt better. Still, you did an admirable job adjusting your modern, millennial pace to the tempo of the 20th century! I hope you'll always enjoy the memories. And for me, I'll just add that it was really nice not to see everyone wearing masks, and to be able to forget about covid nightmare world for half an hour. Thanks so much for the video!

Hey, found your video's around a week ago and I can't get enough of them, I'm just addicted watching your adventures. Anyway I came across this one and made me think of my countries crossing the Cook Straight in New Zealand. Our ferry's are people, car and truck friendly. Lot's to do, plenty of lounges to sit at, bar area, play area for kids, internet and you can if you choose to pay for private room to sleep in. The food area, I find expensive, plenty to choose from. Personally I'd pack my own food to save on the $$$. It's a four hour trip between the capital of New Zealand, Wellington and Picton, beautiful scenery. I hope one day you come to New Zealand and Possibly Australia too (They are too different countries), I know you would enjoy it with your truck or not. On one of the video's I watched you were traveling with a kiwi guy from Canada to Alaska I believe it was, so I'm sure he spoke of beautiful New Zealand to you.

The fact is doing it so many years i enjoyed it and it increased my appitite for more food Lol ! Dont like the sharing idea of cabins and as your female that would have worried me a little, to be honest to share with any stainger would keep me awake.........

I appreciate your channel so much - I agree with your stance on tourism, once I started traveling on my own when I was 18, I sought out ways to experience the places I visited through the eyes of a local, with people who lived there, and my desire was to spend my time living like I had always lived there and experiencing the culture of each place in ways I don't think many people think about. This is the first of your adventures that I watch. I love your positive and keen spirit, courage and sense of adventure. I will definitely be catching up with all of your uploads and follow you as you adventure further. All the best, lovely lady :)

Interesting, I actually had no clue cargo ships actually carried human beings, I thought it was just like it states, it carries cargo. I think one of the most valuable skills your adventures speak to me is patience. It’s def not easy, but I think with patience, and perspective, the journey becomes much more tolerable and maybe even enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

Wow just found your channel randomly and I love it! Must say, you have the most professional voice overs I've ever heard on youtube! Such soothing voice! I thought for sure I did put on some documentary from Discovery channel or something first haha :D

It reminds me of the Alaska Marine Highway ferry I took when I moved there. I loved it because it was low key and it was fun sharing that experience with new acquaintances.
