In this video I build an Industrial Hideout perfect for your Necromunda gang or 40k cult! Another scratch built terrain project for all you lovely people. Would work for any sci-fi tabletop game or rpg including starfinder, infinity, and any others I may have forgotten. Build one to play with, one to display your models, and one to give to a special loved one.

The mind bender, for sure!

If you want to have chipped metal, you can use toothpaste as a masking fluid. A thin layer can be laid down and allowed to dry, and then painted over. Dried toothpaste is very crumbly and an old toothbrush can be used to wipe it away without scratching off any extra paint.

It's crazy how a little paint turns a pile of household objects into an aging factory

First time I stumbled over your channel - gosh you are a gifted man - wish I had your talent...👍👍👍💪

Anyone knows where you can get cheap mosquito mesh? Is there such a thing even?

Gotta leave a like for the Rich Piana reference 👍 God rest his soul and God bless you and your family. Best terrain builder on YouTube? Certainly *my* favorite

That's a really nice piece and some great ideas. Honestly had no idea how well it would work out from the start. Those finicky little pipes are a great touch. Also loving the old school Necromunda minis

Did you throw in a Rich Piana joke at about 12:00 ?

I appreciate the Rich Piana reference.

Best random stumble upon in weeks. Instant sub for me.

"I'm just a guy with a camera." I love your crafting, but I think it's your dry humor that really seals the deal and makes your channel magic.
Vor 3 MonateLukeTheDrifter
Lowkey I think its just a window, I think for a bay or oriel window the window itself would have to protrude from the structure. Not sure if any other window peoples out there took a shot at it, that's my 2 cents.

hi eric from england. you do good work. cheers tom

I don’t know if it’d affect gameplay, but maybe add valves and levers to the pipes, for that little more color, maybe some colored wiring grouped up, like with an electric box

LOL! I LOVE your builds but I must admit I have thought they could use a little color. But I also realized that was your style choice. I do think it looks SUPER nice here, though. Still grungy and old and run down, but the color adds extra interest and the chipped paint is another added layer of detail and storytelling. I don't think I have commented before, but I really love watching you make things. You have so many fun ideas and really prove that all you need is some glue and trash to make something awesome. I am not a gamer. But I love dioramas and I intend to use ALL your tips and tricks.

Love these builds, they're super inspirational! Have you ever tried making your own mod podge? Where I live that stuff is like 3x more expensive than the states and I'm trying to figure out a cheaper way to do it.

Whered you get that yellow and blue hobby knife? I'm having trouble sourcing ones like that with the metal internal guard. The one I found doesn't have the metal and the blade wobbles just a bit. It looks like your NOT having that problem. Am I mistaken?

these videos are epic

New to your channel old timmer in the hobby side with 40k since 2nd edition and many other tabletop games. I noticed your comments about the imperfections or mistakes during build but I actually encourage those from time to time to give things a more realistic view. Even in real life construction morphs over time or never build right from the start specially in ear times. Battle Scars!
Vor 5 MonateTzeentch
Good job! This looks awesome
Vor 5 MonateBulkbu

Vor 5 MonateMistressNeviah
Clear coat, hairspray, your next coat, and use a wet toothpick or a wet brush to knock off the paint you want. old trick for weathering scale models ^.^

Building code? In necromunda? That's the funniest thing I've heard in quite some time.

I don't do crafts like this or play tabletop RPGs but I watched this entire video intently. You're hilarious and have a great artistic eye
Vor 5 Monateoldskooljules
Uugh.. this is ridiculously good. Your approach, the fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants style, is excellent. Also.. very carefully.. apply some sand. HAAH!

Did you thought about using lollipop sticks for the small pipes? They could be cheaper to come by then the styrene rods.
Vor 5 MonateHetzerfeind
I found some (100) on Ebay for 4€ Maybe it is easier to find them Under Cake Pop Sticks.
Vor 5 MonateEric's Hobby Workshop
I used some Qtips in my most recent build. I dont know how or where i would buy a bunch of lollipop sticks tho
Vor 5 MonateLJ292
great build, its really giving me some Kenshi vibes, like its a house from the black desert city, that is if anyone knows what I'm talking about
Vor 6 Monatemrheisenberg83
The salt chipping method is a tiny bit easier than you think and could have been used on this model. Instead of hairspray you use a tiny amount of water to make the salt stick and afterwards you just brush it off with a stiff brush. At least that is how other people on YouTube do it, I have not tried it myself. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Amazing!
Vor 6 MonateBehold Ay man
If I may be so bold as to leave a suggestion, If you mixed that elmer's/white glue with paint to achieve the desired color, you could drizzle it/let it run down the side of a tank or pool it on the ground to make it look like a leak/spill, and the glue would really give it volume
Vor 6 MonateWaybeyond
Dude ALL OF YOUR BUILDS are flipping awesome!!! I wish I could play paintball or air soft at a place just like this build!... Oh AND all your subtle humor is cracking me UP!!! Keep up the epic content!

Another wicked build man. You should do a run down electrical substation. Lots of little fiddly bits which would look awesome. Transformers, insulators, fencing and high voltage equipment. A few charred bodies... That would be rad!

@Eric's Hobby Workshop looks like I'll be re-watching the fort video then! :)
Vor 9 MonateEric's Hobby Workshop
Thats a mistake, i cut and pasted several of the links from the desert fort video and that one mustve snuck in. It could be used for panels or strips on curved surfaces though

the buildings need some color or graffiti or something to break up all the rust and silver metal. the paint job undersells the amazing work that you did building the hideout.
