Recently, I have been through a 365-day journey in the rainforest of Vietnam. Using only natural things and primitive skills, I have to create shelter, find food and drinking water for survival. My goal is not simply to survive for 365 days, I also have to create conditions for long-term survival in the forest.

Thank you very much for your value time to Watch,Like,Comment,Share and Subscribe our videos on Primitive Technology Idea Channel, and we will try all our best to find more idea as try to Create more videos to make your assist and more facilities.

Not really man. This guy probably took YEARS to learn this stuff to be THIS done efficient PLUS his lineage may have all a knack for it and talents for certain things can also be genetic so no most people could watch this over and over and they'd still be screwed. This guy may be an engineer with loads of money working on this as a hobby, maybe a construction worker

This must have been hard to edit because of footage of 365 days…. I also like how he explains what he’s doing, and the materials he’s using, to build with saying it in subtitles.

@C. Bone you realize that this is an hour long of footage. Which means every time he would finish making a segment he would power off the camera which conserved its battery life. Allowing him to have a camera battery life to last this long.

@byeah I mean. His hair grew out throughout the video and no way all that could’ve been made in a week. I’m sure it was longer than that, but he definitely had to have had actual food and shelter through this process.

@Ben Levy yeah there's no way this was 365 days, he barely aged and neither did any of the animals. Zero wear and tear on his buildings too, need a rooster to fertilise the eggs but only has a hen. I think he only took a week here lol

When I think of survivaling, I think of digging holes to make shelter with leaves and moss, spending all day to find some food and water, while slowly starving. What you're doing here is so next level. I love this idea. Not survivaling in the rain forest, but just living there. Amazing!

As kids we dig and play in mud and break branches and find rocks, ect, and do it instinctively which is why I feel many people don't like the way our society is set up to regurgitate whatever we can adapt to live off of to exploit our lives instead of living with us the way we do if we're reacting to nature. Their is a point at which we do well when having to work together and appreciate each other. When everything is given and too many people exist no work is done and all is automated. People do not self regulate as a group well, and people do not express what they have to offer and discover the world and interact with it. Judicious use of resources is something to remember. He's with fish, chicken, plants, snails, grubs and himself. Even now we talk about people who in the wealthiest country haven't got enough nutritious food or knowledge or freedom (not being annoyed by others imposition and entitlement is a freedom), to give their kids meals while they go out to work just to have shelter and what we know as the basics, if the kids can't get a school lunch? I remember growing up and being so hungry coming home I just put together whatever there was and was happy I could do that. As I grew older I had to learn in preteen/teens how to grow plants and regrow what was bought and would have been tossed, and instead could grow a garden in the yard & rely on them for food though I wasn't ever taught so I had better meals. We weren't too poor I just had parents who didn't pay much attention to these things so I had to supplement to meet food/health needs. My parents didn't even know it wasn't a weed, lol. I grew sweet potatoes like he did because I'd read you could eat the potato and the leaves, I found plantain suckers growing from the neighbors yards and learned to boil those as starch like potatoes, I learned to boil green mango before the turned ripe if I wanted food and wait for them to cool into a potato like citrus paste to be made that was like baby food or if I used it with left over cooked meat (all that was ever really cooked as a kid and I didn't like eating only meat because I didn't run well on it, you need plant food too). Green papaya doubles as squash in stew, and I was surprised to find others used it as kind of cole slaw and a vegetable as I did as a teen to supplement diet, but i didn't know I was eaten raw. I used to gather sugar packets when sugar wasn't bought to make candy out of macadamia nuts (grew in the yard and are hard to crack so U use a hammer & cloth), coconut pulp, green papaya & citrus peel, and flavored them with 5 cent packs of generic hi-c packets, or herbs I grew like lemon grass, anise, or used imitation vanilla or almond extract ect. I'd keep little bags of that as a kid and eat it instead of buying candy while waiting forever in places to be picked up. I got the candy idea from an old cook book and was actually ashamed of my candy verses the store bought so I'd only eat it if I was alone. I planted a tomato garden with my dad one year that took off and after that I realized cherry tomatoes grew like weeds and could be made into a sauce easy and mixed with canned tuna and garlic and onions and oregano and basil which was all regrown in the yard. I feel that poor kids can be given a wealth of good things if given knowledge and pride in the work they do. IDK why people don' have a garden in ever school that grows basic foods each person can grow east, then learn how to cook ect. It should be required in our schools as part of health, and done so years ago TBH. Any how survival methods like growing a food garden, giving access to places to grow food (public schools, community areas, ect. hell I've planted mulberry, cactus, and lemon grass and herbs ect. on public easy-ways and road side areas and it worked as long as others don' know what's up or care) needs to be passed down in our culture via food and know how ect. Nutrition and foods and knowledge should be like what this man did. Great video.

I dont think what he did is recommended practice. It is imperative to get any kind of shelter up immediately before undertaking a big house like that. If it rained he would be soaked and would not sleep and could get hypothermia.

People are so dumb. Those guys are probably hired and paid so less that you cant even imagine. And the camera man is also on payroll while the actual RICH guy makes the money on youtube . You suffer no losses if you pay those guys doing all the building almost nothing....it's called slave labor. Also those guys build based on instruction given to them off camera. Any way its all fake , in terms of production. You all should not watch channels like that you just encourage the abuse and exploitation of those poor people by rich guys.

As I watch him using rocks as cutting tools im amazed at the knowledge he has of building. Here in America we use powered tools and can't get results like that and as fast. I think America needs to hire him to build homes here for all the poor people bc he can build a home in 5 days or less with no power tools only can imagine how good he would be with power tools. Great job my friend and you record this off a wooden camera a rock as the lens. Just kidding

@bob thomas but thats not the point. I get to us the viewer this is just free "knowledge" but to the content creators its not free. they get paid to make these high view videos and so by doing this hes taking views and money that wouldve originally gone to the original Primitive tech and the way hes doing it isnt just regular competition. Its predatory

@Ravetastic. nah, you can't "get used to" not eating for several days in a row whilst doing hard labour. That's not how human bodies work. And he very clearly said he hadn't eaten, so if you're sure he did then that makes him a liar and calls into question everything else. Which is the point.

Some people don’t realize that this is an hour long of footage. Which means every time he would finish making a segment he would power off the camera which conserved its battery life. Allowing him to have a camera battery life to last this long. Not having a YEARS worth of battery packs.

This guy's ingenuity is amazing. Watching him survive and build a home/farm, when he started out with nothing, was fascinating. It really made me think about how we live today in comparison. Most of us live in towns and cities and are totally reliant on the system that has been built for us. Now we see that this system is failing many people to the point where they can't afford to heat their homes and are dependent on food banks so they can eat. All our technology and complex infrastructure seems to be nothing more than an illusion of security. We see so many homeless people huddled in doorways. Isn't it crazy to think that you could live in a modern major city and still have LESS than the man in this video? This guy, to me, is a symbol of hope. He shows how it's possible to live a fairly decent, self-reliant life, albeit a basic one, when we rely solely on ourselves and the natural resources this planet provides. If only our governments would do things right, instead of engaging in destruction and pollution on such a massive scale, it literally threatens our own existence,...and all in the name of profit. That's both depressing and sickening. I wish we could all be a lot more like the man in this video.
