Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOC... , we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

This looks like one of the best organized events I've seen. The volunteers are so positive! Thanks for bringing these kind of happenings to the rest of us!
Vor yearNikkeezi +31
I would hope so! Have you looked up how much entry costs !!!!
Vor yearHTodd Griffin +32
@Nikkeezi My thoughts exactly! Almost $12K. And why is a dual entry more than double a single entry? I would love to do this, but I can hike the Appalachian Trail for free.
Vor yearSkapiemhe +25
@Nikkeezi I know! I was dumbstruck when I saw that! This is only for the super wealthy I am afraid...
Vor yearKay Potter +7
@HTodd Griffin "Single entry tickets include one bed in a 3-person tent. You can request tentmates after purchase." That's why a double entry (a private tent for two) is more expensive.
Vor yearHugh Mad Bro +1
I was like holy cow them volunteers are top notch, my family owns a recovery home & they don’t show up positive like that 😂🤷🏼♀️

Im not gonna lie... I totally teared up when Kara jumped on Nate's back at the finish line. Such a sweet and symbolic moment of completing something so huge together as a team. This is now one of my favourite vlogs and I've been watching for years

It took me 3 years to climb the height of Mt. Everest, according to my Fitbit. I'm working on my second climb. I'm hoping to make it somewhere in between 24 hours and 3 years this time. I'm inspired by this video. Today I bought a set of walking sticks and hiked a hill nearby. Kara and Nate's climbs were 1750 feet in an hour. I made 500 feet in an hour, but only part of the hike was steep. I need to find bigger hills and get to work.
Vor yearً +1
How are you doing with the progress towards Mt. Everest? :)
Vor 3 MonateKen Freeman +1
@ً The highest hill near me is around 700 feet up, so I'll have to climb it over 40 times. I'm probably around 1/5 there since the last time I hit 29,000 feet elevation total. And I just got the "Pole to Pole" badge -- walking 12,500 miles in the years since I've had a Fitbit: the distance from the North Pole to the South Pole. It makes for a fun game to have these targets to reach while enjoying my walks.

That was so inspiring, I just love seeing you two persevere and take on these crazy challenges. Also I may have to borrow that motto from Kara. "Future me loves past pain" It's not perfect but I get what you mean and I have that same feeling when I look back at the things that I have accomplished even though they seemed impossible at the time... And to be fair I have also never climbed mount Everest in a monsoon. Great work guys!

Wow! Are you kidding me?!?! You guys powered on through the night and climbed for 27 hours!!!? I'm pacing a half marathon this weekend, and I've been thinking "How can I inspire new runners?" I decided that I'm going to share your story, and your line (Nate) about "why are you doing this?" and your goal to test your body after the Colorado bike ride. You guys are inspirational! 😃 🙌

I had tears in my eyes when you completed the challenge and Kara was getting emotional. It is funny how close you can feel to people that you've never met in real life and how proud you can feel of them for pushing themselves so that they find out how strong they really are. Nate mentioned the mountain biking in Colorado as the first time attempting something that he didn't feel he could finish but I think Kara also found that she was also capable of so much more than she thought during that challenge; driving the van on her on and being an amazing support system for Nate by taking care of EVERYTHING else so that he could achieve something amazing. Most boundaries are self-imposed and you both are so inspirational and constantly show all of us what incredible experiences lie just on the other side of those supposed boundaries.

Your body can handle almost anything….its your mind that you have to convince. I have only recently stumbled across your channel and have been bingewatching you guys! I love you already!!! And also I love that you push each other! You deserve all the success you have gotten and stop apologizing for it! Lol Nate, yes i think every hard working American would like to question why you get to be in the envious spot that they want to be in…but only you know the hard ward that it took to get there. And one thing i love about our new “youtube famous” people is that they earned their way…unlike previous generations… so MORE THAN EVER i would love to give you guys all the riches and fame that many others have unjustifiably earned! "Are we gonna freeze to death tonight?" "No, because we can snuggle!" You two are so cute moving your cots together. "Look at you! You are HAPPY happy!" I love Kara's joy and enthusiasm. And yay for Nate's waffles! Colleen "Worlds Best Hype Girl" was hilarious! She seems like so much fun! Hey, a big bonus, since you're burning so many calories with that hiking, those snacks you get to try won't stick to your butts, lol. That tub of Ben and Jerry's and the disco gondola looked so good. I adore the hype and party vibe of the summit each time you make it to the top. The music and the fun atmosphere and the volunteers cheering you on seems like a good way to achieve that little extra boost. "Future me loves past pain" is a great mantra, just lets you remember that when this is all over, you will remember the amazing memories and experiences and achievements more than the exhaustion it took to get there. I will try this when I'm feeling down. I am so proud of both of you for finishing this entire trek together, you deserve the hell out of that red carpet and those red hats! I can feel Kara's relief and exhaustion and accomplishment in those tears! Congratulations!!!!!
