Same thing happened to my father. He was a marine and he and a bunch of his buds were getting ready to head to a location and see some combat. Then orders came in and he and his guys were transferred to another location. He said that he knew that where they were being sent to had no enemies. There was nothing there, just territory to hold. He said that in the helicopter ride to the other area, he and a bunch of his friends cried. They had all been trained to kill, they wanted to kill, and they were being denied. That was when my dad realized he should leave, he decided that he didn’t want to live a life where he WANTED to kill people so much that it made him emotionally unstable.

It seems a lot of people aren't getting this. Imagine you have no purpose in life. You just sit around going through the motions until one day someone comes along and tells you you have a purpose and that purpose is to kill for your country. You go through years of rigorous training being molded into the perfect killing machine. Your one sole purpose in life is to kill and they finally say you have a chance to fulfill your purpose and they send you off to a far away land where you see unimaginable death and destruction. You watch your buddies die beside you, you shovel shit for hours and do a lot of sitting around waiting for your time. Then you get your one moment, the only moment you're ever going to get to fulfill your one purpose in life. Its perfectly lined up right in front of you, so close you can almost taste it. And then someone bursts in and tells you to stop for no reason at all. The man is dead either way, theres zero reason to not let you complete your one purpose in life but you simply can't. You then have to live the rest of your life never fulfilling the one purpose you were given in your life. That would break any man. A lot of people are getting hung up on the fact that the purpose is killing or that they're American but you could pick any nation and any profession and the message is the same. Not being able to fulfill your one true purpose in life.

If you spend your life seeking that purpose by killing, when you pull the trigger, you won't have thrown away just one life, a second will follow.

Ok when you in the military, these people was marine, think about it!! You join to start off to protect your country, they go through 13 weeks of hell either in Paris island or in San Diego to even be able to get called a marine, before that you go through the recruitment process to see if your healthy, mentally stable and everything to be accepted, depending what point of your life it can take up to a year to even go through that, than the 3 months boot camp!! Afterwards depending on your MOS(Military Occupation Specialist) or job will depend how long you at your school house!! From Marine infantry it’s about 2 months, so you already spent 5 months in school, you go to your unit, you train, they are snipers, so most unit sniper platoons, want you to have time, for my battalion they want two years!! So from the time you start the enlist to now you 3 years deep, now you have to train to do the sniper indoctrination, cause it not like you say you wanna be a sniper and boom your one, you go through a selection which is grueling!! If you pass you in but not done yet!! You do your actually training with the platoon, hone your craft !! Than if we at war you do your job!! All in all these people realistically trained for 4+ years, just do the job they signed up for and couldn’t do it!! That’s like if you trained all 4 years to go be in the nba or nfl, get pick up by a team and the last sec, they cut you from the team

@@IbrarH-sn3oyThis is a very one sided take. In the real world deployments and being in another country during war is very much real. It seems you’ve become somewhat inaccurate with the usage of your information. So the research we have footage of war soldiers and events similar to this, we have eye witness civilian testimonies, we have large amounts of records and third person accounts. To say all American soldiers did were rape and kill civilians is a joke. I’m sure it has happened YES. I took more from the scene of how soldiers in active combat for so long lose sight of any true mission. Theyre there, to them eventually a battle line doesnt mean much. In reality an airstrike probably would do way more for the overall mission, where sniping would alert anyone else around the target and probably ruin a chance to take out affiliates to the target as well.
