My wife and I met at 15 (we’re 30 now) through mutual friends - she was in a school on one side of town, I was in the other. Then she joined our school for A-Levels because her school’s Sixth Form was shite. We were close friends then but nothing really happened at that time. We both went our separate ways for uni; she moved to Cornwall, I stayed in Wales…but we always kept in touch. Then a school reunion happened. She couldn’t attend because she had tonsillitis but said she was sad that we couldn’t catch up. Fortunately, my best friend was in the Navy in Cornwall and I was already going down to see him a few weeks later. So I arranged to meet up with her while I was down there and then I just sort of stuck around for a while since I’m a pre-pandemic remote worker! We’ve been inseparable ever since…apart from when I’m on my hundred and something-th play-through of Skyrim… The point is that we never once had to put up with any of the “getting to know each other” bullshit. We always loved each other’s company and knew each other’s flaws inside-out. Chris’ advice is solid: DATE A FRIEND.

A lot of those are to be expected from an introverted culture focused on agreeableness and unaccustomed to light-hearted, well-meaning humour. It sounded a lot like Chris is perceived as a bully who's pointing and laughing at stuff. Just chalk it up to culture clash.

I began checking back on your channel after your fifth video was released and when the first reaction video about your "mean" comments came out, I decided to stick around. I remember the days of "mouth like Pitbull" and every now and then, you casually slide in original references into your newest content for your long time viewers. The authenticity of this first video was endearing and I believe that very much sold the audience on your content. Thank you for sharing your experience with us Chris ❤️
