There's a novel by German author James Krüss, where a character remarks, that a group of poor people are using margarine as a substitute for butter, frying oil and machine oil. I think there used to be a stereotype linking margarine to poverty around the world, since it was much cheaper than other products serving similar purposes.

i lived in tokyo for over 2 years, loved the way they do tv over there. i wonder, since you're not into it, have you ever watched a show in america called "the view?" tv in japan is funny, tv in america is so dumb it hurts to watch. i don't think i've watched american tv since 2007 and i moved to a new place and never installed it. never looked back. tv is how they keep the dumb people in check over here and convince them to vote against their own interests. at least in japan, the whole point isn't brainwashing. i really don't care that japanese people think they're better than everyone else. i still remember how every time i ever used a subway bathroom, i'd have someone walk up and use the urinal directly next to me and then steal peeks at my unit. it happened so much, i just started taking a step back so they could look and get it over with. and if that's the status of your average dude (desperately worried about his D size), there's no way your society is elevated in any way. i do miss the clean streets and absolutely zero crime, tho. when i tell people i used to park my car in the busiest places in tokyo and leave my keys and wallet on the front seat with the doors unlocked, they never believe me.

Be comforted in knowing that spiders will only bite you if they feel threatened and as a last resort. They will run more than bite. I know that won't stop arachnophobia, but I hope it's of some comfort, plus the majority of spiders aren't aggressive by nature. They like to keep to themselves. Huntsman look intimidating, but they're actually quite chill as long as you don't try to poke them or anything. lol And bats are pretty much okay too, as long as you don't try to touch them or scare them. They get a bad rep. :( But I think a lot of bats are quite cute. Great video! This is a beautiful island. I'm sad that I didn't know it existed until this video, but I'm glad I watched this video!

Videos like this really want me to go to japan to experience the culture of its various regions. Not the touristy places but outside of the cities and see the rural side of it.
