Ahhhh definitely don't listen to this guy on the external SSD, the speeds makes all the difference especially when editing Red 4k-8k files. It's night and day difference have no clue what he is talking about. Also having the library directly on the desktop with the proxies on there makes a huge difference as well and then you can disconnect the hard drives until you are ready to export. He might be editing smaller projects but when you are editing projects that are 30-90 mins SSD's are a must.

I really appreciate the knowledge in this video. I have a BMPCC6KPro and I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that it just doesn’t have auto focus. So manual has become my best friend. I’m definitely going to invest in a focus motor along with a gimbal. Me having to fiddle with the lens focus ring while on a gimbal was the main thing that had me on the fence about getting a gimbal for my camera in the first place.

To add after shooting drones in weddings for 4 years after watching this video: -Use tripod mode for the venue establishing shots. -Have your 107 ready for the drone Karens -Have a backup drone -Hire a drone pilot if you can -Include doing drone photos, the photographer will thank you -Shoot in 4K 60 D-CINELIKE to give your editor options -Shoot some clips to get some stock images of the venue -Give your bride and groom advance instructions if you want them to interact with the drone. Remember most wedding videos will only use 3-5 secs of your drone shots. So shoot with a purpose.

What's the issue with 30fps when filming outdoors? I also use 25fps, the reason being avoid flickering with artificial light. But I can't see any real difference with natural light.

Hi ya, first time to your channel. I have a quick question... I'm looking at purchasing this system. I need a good mic set up for interviews etc. Will this work with XLR inputs on a prosumer camera. I have the Panasonic DVX 200. It only has XLR inputs. I understand this has a 3.5 jack for DSLR's etc but do you know if I can purchase a 3.5 to XLR adaptor and use it that way? Appreciate your feedback.
