I graduated with a degree in Aerospace engineering and was sidetracked by the endless possibilies of 3D printers.

What about making a real water engine I guess? Im not an engineer, but it feels like to me that because water is not compressible or de-compressible, replacing the HPressure air in your engine with water would be very inefficient, I was actually imagining more like pelton wheel bucket instead of a piston head, so that a stream of water hits the piston but ends up traveling around the curve and as final result increase the efficiency?

Could you make a video showing your workshop and machining tools? For example, how do you cut out your aluminium pieces? Great video and info.

Does anyone know the size of the servos and motors?

Does the magnetic interference between the chain and the motor magnets potentially add a bunch of additional drag?

hi i think you are amazing for your air powered plane why not try dry ice that could give a lot of power
Vor 10 Stundenprimeguy 98
U might need a flywheel to keep the momentum going so u can start easier

Now make a solar panel turn the alternator so it charges your battery.

I’ve been thinking of a similar concept But I’ve been outside this time for a long time and I see a little I know

Amazing concept

You could reduce the play in the piston if you slimmed the skirt right down until the piston and bore became more like a poppet valve running in a valveguide. This would also reduce the reciprocating mass which I reckon might reduce the air consumption even further.

I cant understand why there is no e bike with a wheelie control like a motobike

We could use this in a 2world country, it's literally free energy.

Mainstream info is bollocks.

Although the aluminium fly-wheel is not magnetic, because it is moving (rotating) relative to the support magnets, an EMF is induced within the aluminium, which produces an opposing magnetic field to the magnets, creating some resistance. However, you do have the fly-wheel and magnets separated enough that this shouldn't be too big of a problem. Just something to consider.

Chain less drive using generator, motor and Small battery would be an interesting project. It would work like an eCVT. de-film.com/v-video-6glpZTRT6qE.html

10001 comment , nice

Adding a motor that feeds off of maybe 1/8th of the power from the flywheel, and adding even more tightly-wound copper wire could probably make this a self-supplying generator? Also you should place magnets pushing down from the top or another stand on the other side for extra stability
Vor TagArihant Bhattacharjee
Forgot to mention, the motor I was talking about is the one that spins the axel of the flywheel

I loved the air hogs pneumatic plane i grew up with that haha

Add a gearbox and crank onto that flywheel to amplify your manual input, thus your electrical output?

I'm just letting a comment here for anybody that supposedly reads about a variable rpm system. A rotating mass will have a different radial speed depending on its mass repartition. In a flywheel, if there was somehow a way to transfer mass from the center area to the outer areas, you could have variable rpm for the same amount of stored energy.

Very cool project, could be the root of more inventions.

Have you tried adding dummy weight along the rear? Engine thrust seems promising already, it just pitches downward by default

Every so often I see amazing ideas like this that may eventually help lead to a invention I want to construct

Sounds like it could work in two ways: storing the excess energy you get on a downslope, and keep it engaged during normal cruise speeds to smooth out the bumps in your performance.
Vor 2 TageCaleb Perez
how do you manage possible under voltage events without a BMS?
Vor 2 TageJeffrey Nelson
Try this: make the turbine wheel smaller in height, same diameter, and put several jets around the perimeter, so the vanes produce power several times during a rotation.
